As I usually explain in posts like this; I’m NOT Disordered is first and foremost about me creating content that I enjoy creating and which I benefit from in some way. Whilst the blog’s obvious primary theme is mental health, I really like to create light-hearted, fun, and more ‘easy’ posts that are less overwhelming and emotional. With a post just like that planned for actual Halloween, I thought I’d publish something a bit lighter and more enjoyable now, so here are some must-have items from a whole range of categories and then I’ve teamed up with Pinterest to include some inspirational images of Halloween décor…

BUDGET BLOGMAS | DAY EIGHT: THE IMPORTANCE OF A FESTIVE ENVIRONMENT | IN COLLABORATION WITH PRETTY PERFECT PRODUCTS | AD
Hello and welcome to I’m NOT Disordered’s Budget Blogmas!
So now that it’s widely agreed that it’s acceptable to put up your Christmas decorations(!), I thought I’d discuss why having a festive, Christmassy home is so important to me…
Growing up, I can remember three specific Christmas decorations:
1. A Christmas stocking: it was a very plush, red stocking with a fluffy dog on the top that we nicknamed Judy in memory of the dog Mum grew up with.
2. A china nativity set: the little Jesus once fell upside down and so every year we’d be looking for him and the little manger with yellow ‘hay’ would seem empty, but actually; if we just turned it the right way…!

I’M NOT DISORDERED'S CHRISTMAS PLANNER 2020 | IN COLLABORATION WITH CANVA | FREE TO PRINT
I did a Digital Marketing internship a year or so ago and during it, I learnt how to use Canva (www.canva.com). Recently, I’ve been using it for gift guides and other features in my blog posts. I really love and enjoy it because I feel like I’m a creative person and the website allows me to use that creativity in a very imaginative and different way that helps my blog to be more original at a time when it feels that everyone is a Blogger!
So, I wanted to do something
Christmassy with Canva before Blogmas begins and after spotting a ‘Christmas
Planner’ I was inspired to create one; and all you have to do is print it out!

MY DREAM CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
I’ve seen so many Christmas trees being put up that it’s getting me even more excited and festive! It feels like Blogmas is just around the corner (this year I’ll be publishing a blog post from December 1st until Christmas Day) and so I wanted to start introducing Christmassy content to I’m NOT Disordered a bit early…
I don’t want to spoil the upcoming content, but a lot of the collaborations are with affordable brands, so I thought it’d be cool to do a post where I could really let my dreams and imagination run wild and look through the Christmas decorations from more high-end retailers. Doing this, actually reminds me a lot of my Nana because when I was younger, we would cut things we could never afford out of catalogues and stick them down.
It’s good to do something just for a fun too. Like, being a mental health Blogger; it’s kind of obvious that I spend a lot of my time creating content that’s really deep and which has a lot of emotion to it. I talk a lot about difficult subjects like self-harm, suicide, abuse, rape, mental illness…it isn’t very often that I get to publish a piece which is more light-hearted and enjoyable to create and to look at!
