WELCOME NALA - MY LITTLE 'GIFT' | A POEM FOR MY NEW BUNNY

You came when my heart was shattered and sore,
When sadness had settled deep into my core.
A little too broken, too frightened to see,
How happiness ever could find its way back to me.

Luna was hurting, and struggling too,
And somehow the answer was waiting in you.
A tiny new friend, with a curious heart,
Who didn't yet know the difference she'd start.

And now I can watch you together each day,
Exploring and cuddling and hopping away.
And I love when you snuggle in one little bed,
Then wash one another from tail to head.

And Nala means “gift” — and I think that is true,
For somehow, at just the right time, I found you.
Not to take anyone's place, not to mend every scar,
But to show me that love can still find where we are.

So welcome, sweet Nala, my fluffy-haired girl,
My tiny-eared treasure, my soft little pearl.
May you always know, wherever you roam,
That you are so cherished, so loved, and at home.
