24 hours with... ANGELA WILSON – HR/CONTRACTS MANAGER

Why have you chosen to write about today? Why Not LOL

Good morning!

What time did you wake up?

I was woken up at 3.00am by my Husband, then again at 5.45 am

Why did you wake up at that time?

Alarm

Did you have a dream?

Yes, I usually dream.

Do you think today will be 'good' or 'bad' day? (use your own definition of these words to answer the question)

Hoping for a good day.

What are the first three things you do after waking up?

Check my phone for messages from my Family.

Greet my Cats

Make a Coffee

Do you eat breakfast? If yes, what did you have?

Yes, I eat breakfast every day. My Lovely husband prepares it for me, oats, yoghurt and blueberries and yet another coffee.

What would be your perfect breakfast?

The same as I have but occasionally I hanker for a fry up. (full English).

Is there anything that you have to do today but don't particularly want to?

Skype interviews, the country we are contacting has very slow internet, so it can be very frustrating.

List five things that you do between 9am and noon.

1. Walk to work and feed the stray cats on the way

2. Check my work emails and reply if need be.

3. Make a coffee

4. Have a meeting with the Team and cover any issues that they may have.

5. Update all the Staff information, sick leave, holiday requests etc.

Did you eat lunch? If yes, what did you eat?

Yes, I had cheese and tomato wrap in Quinoa bread. An orange and a bottle of water.

What would be your perfect lunch?

I like Filipino food. So, a treat would be pancit bihon, (very fine noodles with mixed veg)

List five things that you have done, said, thought, or that have happened between noon and 5pm.

1. Did the Skype interviews and got very stressed as the connection was so slow it took so much longer that it needed to.

2. Tucked into my secret chocolate stash to alleviate the stress.

3. Thought about my Family in UK, one of the down sides to being an Expat, missing your Family.

4. Prepared several business contracts

5. Made a coffee.

Do you eat dinner/tea? If yes, at what time?

Yes, Hubby had prepared my dinner so I just had to nuke it at 6.30 pm

What do you eat?

White fish, wild rice and green beans.

What would be your perfect dinner?

Chinese Food.

What do you do with your evening (5-8pm)?

I finish work at 5.30 then once I get home, I feed my cats, play with them, clean out their litter trays, put a load of washing on. Eat dinner, general tidy up then quick catch up on social media, call friends and family and usually try to sleep early as we get up early most mornings

Goodnight!

Do you have a 'get-ready-for-bed' routine? If so, what is it?

Yes, I like to get the cats settled, shower, put on my PJ’s and read if I can, this helps me to relax.

What time do you go to sleep?

As soon after 8pm as possible.

Is this when you want to go to bed? Or is it influenced by what you're doing the following day?

I would like to go to be later and do so occasionally. But in general, it is influenced by the fact my Husband starts his work really early and usually wakes me up as he is leaving at 3.00 am

Do you share your bed?

Yes with my Husband and which ever of the cats decide to join us.

Which position do you tend to sleep in? e.g. foetus, starfish etc.

I have special pillows for my back, so I tend to stay in the position I fall asleep in, flat on my back.

Reflection

What was your favourite part of your day?

Playing with my cats

What was your least favourite?

The Skype interviews

Did anything happen today that you'd like to change or re-do?

Not really

Did you 'learn' anything today? (use your own definition of this word to answer the question)

The older I get the less patient I am with technology.

Are you looking forward to tomorrow?

Yes, at least living here in Dubai we can guarantee that the sun will be shining.

What do you have planned?

Work unfortunately
