Welcome to my new, Christmassy series; 12 Cats of Christmas with I’m
NOT Disordered!
Last year, I posted a series I called ’12 Days of Christmas with I’m
NOT Disordered’ where I had a different person complete some Christmassy
questions every day, for the twelve days leading up to Christmas. The posts
were so popular that I wanted to do another series this year but I wasn’t sure
if getting others to complete those same questions again would be too repetitive
and I decided to do something a little different…
The ‘12 Cats of Christmas’ idea came about when I was cuddled up
with my kitten (Emmy) and doing some online Christmas shopping. I think it’s
testament to my creativity that I somehow managed to merge those two great
things and come up with a series of blog posts!
Luckily, Cats Protection agreed
it was a great idea and decided to collaborate on the series with me.
Every day, for the next twelve days (including Christmas Day)
there’ll be a blog post featuring a Q&A with a cat owner!
I hope that this series raises the profile of Cats Protection's work and an awareness that cats aren’t just for Christmas. Pet’s aren’t
presents. They need to be given a loving, permanent home and not a one-day
excuse for some excitement and a few happy squeals! Pets are an amazing, beautiful, and heart-warming commitment.
Note: Cats Protection generally does not home cats over Christmas, as many cats do not settle well into a new home during this very busy time of year, but cats and kittens can be reserved for adoption so that they can be collected early in the New Year!
