Every week, for 2018 there will be post of what I’ve done in the book each week. And the sixth list?
List the things (from your past and present) that feel like blockades in the way of happiness:
I found this list fairly difficult to write to be honest because being in recovery means that there aren't a lot of bad things going on in my life and so, coming up with things that might stop me feeling happy isn't a great idea for my mental health recovery.
But I continued the exercise for the sake of the collaboration - originally - and it turned out to be a good thing. It ended up being helpful to learn/realise that there actually isn't a whole lot of bad things going on in my life. There's not a lot of things that should stop me from being happy.
Memories of my abuse
Money (lack of!)
Bills
Tiredness
Pain in my shoulder (there's a blog post to come!)
Looking at my scars (sometimes)
Feeling unhappy with my body
When one of the pets gets poorly
Feeling like I'm not progressing
