Music
is, in my opinion, one of the most
powerful, influential, and incredible things in life. It can influence your
mental state in the most obvious of ways; you could be feeling really sad and
listen to an upbeat, motivational song and it has you up, out of bed, and
smiling. Dancing, even! Or you could be dancing and singing loudly in the
shower when a sad, moving, song jumps into your Spotify playlist and all of a sudden,
you’re remembering a difficult time in your life when all of these heart-breaking
lyrics applied to it.
“Everywhere I’m looking
now, I’m surrounded by your embrace, Baby, I can see your halo, You know you’re
my saving grace”
This
song was playing on my 18th Birthday party when Ronnie and I had our
first dance together. Now we’re engaged and planning our Wedding and we have
this song down as our song for our first dance as Mr and Mrs.
“I’m proud of who I am, No
more monsters, I can breathe again, And you said that I was done, Well, you
were wrong and now the best is yet to come”
I
actually wrote a post motivated by this song, to save my fingers from typing;
read it here
“And we know we can’t go
back again, To the world that we were living in, ‘Cause we’re dreaming with our
eyes wide open, So, come alive!”
This
song is such a motivational number; the entire Greatest Showman soundtrack (which you can buy here) is
motivational (I wrote about one of the songs here)!!
