MY BIRTHDAY WISHLIST | IN PART COLLABORATION WITH WARDOW

“The way I see it, you should live every day like it’s your Birthday!”

Paris Hilton

With my Birthday in just a couple of weeks (February 1st), I’ve been looking through my saved lists on my favourite websites for something to treat myself to and thanks to Wardow, I finally managed to purchase my favourite Valentino! It’s honestly been in my ‘love list’ for around six or seven months – though it feels like forever! – but full price, it was £130.50 and whilst I did feel that it was worth it because of its brand and it’s pretty huge(!), that is still a lot of money when you have bills to pay! Fortunately, however, Wardow helped me out and then they also had a discount code (WINTER – it should still be valid when this post is published) which gives you 10% off. Then, I also had over £10 in ‘points’ (you receive loyalty points per £1 you spend) on my account from previous purchases so I managed to get it for less than half price!! Inspired by this, I decided to create my Birthday wishlist where I’ve looked through my – probably – three favourite retail sites and my go-to’s for Birthday gifts: ASOS, Wardow, and Amazon UK for goodies of all different prices. Hopefully you’ll be inspired for any upcoming Birthdays for your friends or family or, as I have done, for yourself…

TOP HALLOWEEN ITEMS | IN COLLABORATION WITH AMAZON UK

“Halloween wraps fear in innocence, As though it were a slightly sour sweet. Let terror, then, be turned into a treat.

Nicholas Gordon

When I began considering themes and angles for content for Halloween this year, I decided to go back through previous Halloween content in my blog’s archives to find inspiration. And found that last October (2024), in collaboration with Pinterest, I published a blog post titled: HALLOWEEN MUST-HAVES | COSTUME ACCESSORIES, HOMEWARE, PARTY BITS, ITEMS FOR PETS, & PINTEREST HOME INSPO (which you can read here) and on looking at the statistics for it, I was extremely surprised to see it had actually been fairly popular. I say that this was surprising because I’m NOT Disordered is very obviously a mental health blog and so when I create and publish content that strays from this theme, I fully expect and prepare for it to not do very well in terms of views. So, why do I do that content regardless of this? Because I actually really enjoy putting together more light-hearted content like wishlists and gift guides and ultimately, this is my blog! So, as a piece of pre-Halloween content (there’ll be another post on the 31st) I’ve partnered with Amazon UK to bring you this post which will include everything from homeware to costumes to party supplies…

HALLOWEEN MUST-HAVES | COSTUME ACCESSORIES, HOMEWARE, PARTY BITS, ITEMS FOR PETS, & PINTEREST HOME INSPO! | IN COLLABORATION WITH PINTEREST

As I usually explain in posts like this; I’m NOT Disordered is first and foremost about me creating content that I enjoy creating and which I benefit from in some way. Whilst the blog’s obvious primary theme is mental health, I really like to create light-hearted, fun, and more ‘easy’ posts that are less overwhelming and emotional. With a post just like that planned for actual Halloween, I thought I’d publish something a bit lighter and more enjoyable now, so here are some must-have items from a whole range of categories and then I’ve teamed up with Pinterest to include some inspirational images of Halloween décor…

COME TO A ST OSWALD’S HOSPICE SHOP WITH ME | PLUS A LOOK AT ALL MY PURCHASES | IN COLLABORATION WITH ST OSWALD’S HOSPICE

“Whoever said that money can’t buy happiness, simply didn’t know where to go shopping.”

Bo Derek

I was once a Digital Volunteer with St Oswald’s Hospice for four years (with a few temporary contracts with their Communications and Marketing team throughout that time), when I spotted their new store just minutes from my home, I was almost instantly inspired to put together some content centred around it! Probably something which helped me to think of the idea so quickly was that I’m genuinely a huge fan of shopping too (as you may have seen in our Collaboration Teaser; which you can read here)! So, this is sort of a dream collaboration for me(!) and I really hope you like it just as much as I have enjoyed creating it…

GOODBYE 2022, HELLO 2023

Happy New Year!

You’re probably inundated with blog posts celebrating the New Year; and they’re probably all from a very similar angle – as is probably the case with my doing a whole new logo and theme for I’m NOT Disordered… So, this year, to mark the beginning of 2023, I’ve decided to do something a bit different (hopefully!) on here; and I’ve picked out a few random – but memorable – bits and pieces from throughout 2022. There’s no real order to it, I wanted it to be kind of similar to opening a memory box in that everything is in a bit of a jumble, and you just ruffle through it to pick bits out and talk about them…

TWELVE OF THE BEST BUNNY BUYS| MARKING TWELVE MONTHS WITHOUT PIXIE | IN COLLABORATION WITH AMAZON UK

This blog post had the huge potential to be incredibly emotional and overwhelming but having just published two pieces with an abundance of those exact qualities (the one marking fifteen years since the abuse ended and the poem), I thought it would be a bit too much. And that opinion isn’t solely about wanting content that appeals to my readership, it’s also about recognising my own boundaries and tolerance levels. I mean, there’s only so much I can cope with delving into and writing about! So, when Amazon UK asked to do a collaboration, I had the idea to create this more fun and happy post of a little list of items on amazon.co.uk that I think my new bunny (Luna) would want me to recommend...

Wooden Rabbit Hutch: £129.99

This is honestly my dream hutch for Luna! I like that it has the covered area on the top floor because since Luna jumped from my arms and injured her back, she’s become a bit nervous and really likes to spend time somewhere sheltered and private. I also love that it has wheels because half of it would go in the space where my undercounter fridge used to be so to clean it out, it’d be easy to just roll it forwards. Since this is fairly expensive (though I think it’s a good price for the size of it!), I’d definitely recommend checking out all the measurements because the space for Luna’s hutch just isn’t big enough for this – it’s literally the only thing stopping me from getting it! I definitely think it’s worth the price tag though because rabbits can live fairly long (something which first time owners aren’t always aware of), so it’d last a good while.

WHY THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH PRIORITIZING YOURSELF | 10 FEEL-GOOD BUYS | IN COLLABORATION WITH COMFY FOX CO. | AD

Originally, this was going to be a Valentines post but there’s now something VERY special planned with Cats Protection (if you’re a cat owner and would like to be involved in the collab, drop me an email or message on any of my social media!) so that’s V Day sorted! So, instead, I decided to use this post as the perfect opportunity to collaborate with another amazing organization; Comfy Fox Co.

I first came across this store a few weeks ago when the owner; Kerene, added me after a friend of my best-friend saw she was struggling with her mental health and told her about I’m NOT Disordered. Firstly, I was honoured that this friend felt my blog was good enough to advise someone check it out; and when I found that Kerene had a shop (Comfy Fox Co.) and saw some of her amazing products, I was even more grateful for the recommendation!
