THE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY OF CREATING A SERIES OF CONTENT | IN COLLABORATION WITH GRACIE’S WAY | DYING MATTERS AWARENESS WEEK 2026

“I can't relax. I'm not happy unless I'm working on stuff…”

Fred Armisen

So, I used Chat GPT to check for additional ideas on what I should be including in an article titled ‘Series Re-Cap’ for the Gracie’s Way’s website (www.graciesway.co.uk) that I was intending to use to basically wrap-up the week-long Series of content on there – and on the project’s Instagram (@GraciesWayUK) – for Dying Matters Awareness Week 2026. For numerous reasons (which will all be explained in that re-cap post on May 10th!) I decided that this Awareness occasion was the right one to be the first one for Gracie’s Way to publish a Series of content in response to it. And amongst the Chat GPT response to my prompt, it actually advised that I include some words on the emotional journey of creating a Series of content. I began writing hat section in the Re-Cap article when I had the thought ‘this could be an entire blog post!’ So, here it is…

THE ULTIMATE GUIDANCE TO WORKING WITH AN INFLUENCER

“No one else knows exactly what the future holds for you, no one else knows what obstacles you've overcome to be where you are, so don't expect others to feel as passionate about your dreams as you do.”

Germany Kent

A little while ago, I wrote a blog post titled: The Most Transparent Blog Post I’ve Ever Written (which you can read here) and in it, I talked about being given – numerous times now – the label of ‘influencer’ by others. I decided to do some research at the beginning of the post, in the hope that it would provide me with evidence to fight me meeting the definition of the label, but instead, I found (in this article) that due to the following of I’m NOT Disordered (2.3 million readers) I’d be deemed a ‘Mega-Influencer!’ And on talking to my Waythrough Recovery Worker, I agreed that my blog is at a standing in terms of both popularity and reputation, that I can no longer demean or deny it. So, here I am(!) agreeing to be an Influencer! Now, this blog post was actually inspired by a recent meeting with a few of Waythrough’s Communications and Marketing team, where the idea of the organisation working with Influencers was discussed. The Manager said that I was the ‘perfect person’ to have involved because of my ability to bring actual, lived insight into this world, and so, here’s the blog post which provides guidance to working with an Influencer…

A SUPER SCARY PRE-HALLOWEEN REVEAL | INTRODUCING…

“Commitment leads to action. Action brings your dream closer.”

Marica Wieder

You know, sometimes I actually hate writing titles like that – clickbait I think you’d call it – but I also recognise that it draws in readers rather than putting the announcement topic where you can see it straight away. But then that reminds me of when I first started blogging and someone asked me why I regard the number of readers so highly and celebrate the milestones; it makes me worry that people will think I’m superficial or being ingenuine. Being asked that though, led me to think about it and to develop answers for being asked it again! But my two reasons for caring about the size of my audience are actually also relevant to my thoughts on this title. The first is that the more people who read my blog, the higher the chance that my content helps someone. Then, secondly, the higher the following the more opportunities and experiences you can access or be offered. I don’t want to milk it though… So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to:

FIVE TIPS FOR ORIGINAL CONTENT

I’ve basically just wrote over six hundred words about forgiveness and the act of apologizing to find that I’d already posted something along very similar lines only three months ago! And the way I finally made that discovery inspired me to come up with some tips for other Bloggers to avoid making the same mistake:

1.       Use ‘labels’ or ‘tags’

On Blogger (I’m unsure if it’s the same on other Blogging sites) it allows you the option to choose keywords around the subject of each of your blog posts. You can make this list as extensive or as limited as you like but it allows for your post to show in Google searches on the words you’ve included. The other bonus of this (which I’ve just discovered) is that you can search for all posts featuring a particular label which means that you can ensure that your content is actually original to anything you’ve ever posted.

SIX PINTEREST PICS THAT SUM UP MY LIFE

Take a peek inside my Pinterest boards and my motivations behind some of my favourite pins with links to my favourite boards…

I remember my first visit to London when I was eighteen and my Mum took me down there for my Birthday. We had one of those theatre weekends booked where you get train fayre, a hotel room, and a night at a show of your choice in one packaged price. We chose The Lion King because it’s one of my favourite Disney movies and makes me cry every single time I watch it – no matter how old I get! Since then I’ve visited London on a number of occasions and for a number of different reasons; we visited again to see Legally Blonde on my 21st Birthday, attended a party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate Blind Veterans 100th Birthday, and I’ve attended numerous conferences, meetings, and events there. At one point, I was in London so often that I seriously considered moving down there. And then one of the terrorist attacks happened. And I was round the corner. It was when the man was found near Westminster with a bag full of knives. I remember leaving the event in the taxi and people were running, screaming towards us whilst Police riot vans raced in the opposite direction. After a little while, I couldn’t let it stop me from visiting the city that I’d grown to love so much.
